Crofton Silver Band has announced the appointment of Dean Jones as their new Musical Director.

A band spokesperson told 4BR: “Dean is a Huddersfield University graduate with a Masters in Performance, and brings a wealth of experience, having also playing trombone with Aldbourne, Leyland, Rothwell, Carlton Main Frickley and Grimethorpe.”

Decision

After a successful spell with Besses o' th' Barn, winning trophies at the Whit Friday contests and at Hardraw Scar, Dean has decided to take up the baton with Yorkshire band.

The spokesperson added: “His ambition, enthusiasm and engaging style has had an instant impact on the band and we look forward to working with Dean on what will hopefully be a successful period with us.”
