Enderby youth enjoy student outing

The young players of Enderby Youth Band had an enjoyable sneak preview of what student life could well be like at the UniBrass Championships.

Enderby

Enderby Youth Band recently enjoyed their invitation to play before the results ceremony at the UniBrass Championship at the University of Warwick.

Day of it

In fact, most of the young players opted to make a day of it by participating in the workshops run by Cory Band players in the morning, before enjoying the chance to listen to a number of the University contenders in the afternoon.

For their own performance, the band reprised their entire ‘Richard III’ themed programme from the previous week’s Action Medical Research competition in Blackpool, complete with costumes, choreography and multi-media projection.

Tremendous

A spokesperson told 4BR: “The reaction from the large audience was tremendous, with prolonged applause after each item and an extended ovation as the band finished.

They really enjoyed the artistic presentation of the music as well as understanding and appreciating the historical interest and topical relevance of the programme.

Our young players were absolutely delighted with their reception and the encouragement this gave themEnderby Youth Band spokepseson

They added: "Our young players were absolutely delighted with their reception and the encouragement this gave them, and we would like to thank the organisers for their kind invitation to ask us to perform.”
