Last winner:

The winner of the 'Open Fusion' quiz and the proud owner of a Fusion Premium Cornet gig bag — worth £192.95 was Philip McAuley — a former playing member of Besses o' th' Barn, Kennedy Swinton, Middleton and Blackburn & Darwen Bands over the last 40 years, who is still keeping his lip in on cornet by passing on all his years of experience with the 2nd Rossendale Scouts Band.

Fusion

He knew it was Howard Blake who wrote 'Fusions' — not Blake Carrington or Blake Edwards (who happened to be the fictitious husband of Joan Collins in 'Dynasty' and the Pink Panther film director respectively).

"I remember the piece well,"he told 4BR. "It did cause quite a bit of a stir when it was picked, especially as it was tagged onto 'An Epic Symphony' but it wasn't anything too contemporary or way out. It would be good to hear it again."
