Fairey to lead Sky Arts Brass Band Wonderland

The Fairey Band will be taking the lead with the Christmas spirit on Sky Arts later this month...

As reported on 4BR, there will be a brass band musical presence on Sky Arts television this Christmas with 'A Brass Band Wonderland' which will be broadcast on Friday 18th December at 7.00pm

The festive brass band extravaganza was recorded last month in the depths of the spectacular Peak Cavern, deep in the Peak District, and saw the Fairey and Hackney Colliery Bands join forces with host, comedian Jason Manford.

Guests

The combined forces of the North West Area champion alongside the hip-hop funksters of Hackney Colliery Band from East London will also be heard with special guests Russell Watson, Collabro, Rhodes and Andreya Triana.

Each band performed in two different locations within the cave giving a 360 degree performance with a live audience. This dramatic naturally formed concert hall will be transformed into a Christmas grotto with the evening culminating in a grand finale.

What better way to start this joyous time of the year than having a Christmas brass band extravaganza from the Peak Cavern. We're thrilled to be bringing such a fantastic line up to Sky ArtsExecutive Producer Will Spokes
