The organisers of the 2016 Brass in Concert Championship has confirmed that Hammonds Saltaire Band will replace Foden's in the line-up of competing bands at this year's event at Sage Gateshead on Sunday 20th November.

Support

John Woods of Brass in Concert told 4BR: "We have been in contact with Foden's to offer our sympathy and support in light of the recent fire.

We join the rest of the banding community in wishing the band well as it recovers from such a devastating setback and look forward to welcoming it back to Sage Gateshead in future years."

He added: "We are pleased to announce that Hammonds Saltaire Band under their MD Morgan Griffiths (above) has agreed to replace Foden's at this year's contest."
