The 20 year tenure as the man at the administrative helm has come to an end for Shaun Elliott.

The Staffordshire Band has announced that that their highly respected Chairman, Shaun Elliott (left of image with composer Gavin Higgins) has decided to step down after remarkable 20 year tenure in the role.

Thanks

Incoming Chairperson, Debbie Higham told 4BR: "I would like to publically thank Shaun for the last 20 years. He has led the band through so many successful ventures — the latter being a series of stunning concerts at the Forrest Arts Centre in Walsall.

No-one knows or respects the history of the Staffordshire Band better than Shaun, and I'm delighted that he will remain as a player within the cornet section."

Looking forward

Debbie added: "Personally, I look forward to working with my new committee and leading Staffs into an exciting future.

With people such as Adrian Lacey, Rob Chapman, Liz Butler, Julie Dale, Sheila Draycott and Alan Gifford, I know we have a management team to back our outstanding musical duo of professional MD, Dave Purkiss and Jonathan Pippen as our Associate MD."
