Shipston welcomes more worldwide visitors

There is always a warm welcome to be enjoyed for worldwide banding travellers at Shipston Band.

Shiptson
Welcome visitors from all corners of the globe are heading to Shipston

Shipston Town Band opened its rehearsal doors to yet another welcome worldwide visitor when Jack Robertson, who plays baritone with Austin Brass Band in Texas came along to listen to the band.

Visitors

Jack is the latest in a line of foreign visitors who have made their way to the Cotswold town to hear the band in action, following the Hill family from Singapore and Clive Burnell from New Zealand who popped in during the past few months.

Pleased

A Band spokesperson told 4BR: "We were only too pleased when Jack contacted us through the website and wondered if he could join us for a rehearsal when he was holidaying in the area.

He really wanted to have a blow with a British brass band and got to play with not one, but two, as he joined the rehearsals of our community band Stour Concert Brass and Avonbank Band. We provided him with a baritone and he had a most enjoyable evening!"
