Bands line-up at Berties for banding battle

There is a great line-up of bands taking part in the Pogson Bray Trust Contest in Elland this weekend.

The popular Pogson Bray Trust Contest will take place in Elland on the weekend.

The event takes place at Bertie's Banqueting Hall, Brook Street (HX5 9AW) on Sunday 16th October, commencing at 10.00am and will feature bands graded from the Second Section down as well as three youth bands.

Each competitor will entertain the audience, and adjudicator David Hirst with a programme of between 18 and 20 minutes in duration which must include a march.

CLEETHORPES BAND CIO

April 3 • We have vacancies for a trombone player and a bass player. Cleethorpes Band rehearse near the seafront on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Placed 3rd in the NOE 4th section. Other players are always welcome as we may be able to switch positions around
