Tubular Brass
The unique sounds of Tubular Brass are set to be heard in Bristol this month.

The innovative 'Tubular Brass' collaboration that reinterprets Mike Oldfield's classic album featuring a 28-piece brass band alongside musician Hannah Peel using 1970s analogue synthesizers, is to be heard in Bristol this month.

Time and place

The performance will take place at St George's Bristol on Great George St, Bristol (BS1 5RR) on Saturday 12th November (8.00pm) and uses a new score for brass by the respected brass band musician Sandy Smith.

Mike Oldfield's 'Tubular Bells' is one of the great icons of electronic music. Released in 1973, it became one of the biggest selling albums of all time and stayed in the UK charts for an incredible 279 weeks. It regularly appears in 'Top 100 Albums of All Time' lists across the world.
