4BR has been informed that the musical partnership between conductor Rob Westacott and Lindley Band has come to an end.

Following their recent appearance at the Yorkshire Regional Championships where they came sixth in the First Section, the band accepted the resignation of Rob who has been at the helm for the past 15 months.

We would like to thank Rob for his unwavering commitment, passion and drive in preparing us so well for events and competitions over the last 15 months. We wish him all the very best for the futureLindley Band

Encouraging performances

During his tenure Lindley gave a number of encouraging performances, including securing the runner-up spot at the Dewsbury contest in November last year, whilst he also led them on their recent CD recording 'Postcards from Holme'.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We would like to thank Rob for his unwavering commitment, passion and drive in preparing us so well for events and competitions over the last 15 months. We wish him all the very best for the future."
