4BR has been informed that a memorial service celebrating the life of Dennis Chalk BEM who died on 5th September will be held at All Saints Church, Broad Chalke on Wednesday 30th October (2.00pm).
Dennis Chalk BEM, was a pillar of the brass banding community in the South of England, conducting the Wilton & District Youth Band for an astonishing 43 years before handing over the baton in 2008.
The service will commemorate the life of Dennis and will feature a band of friends, conducted by Derek Broadbent. There will be a get-together following this in Broad Chalke Village Hall.
