The death has been announced of the much loved former Formby Band member and supporter Roy Shaw.

4BR has been informed of the death of Formby Band stalwart horn player and supporter Roy Shaw. He was aged 92.

Louise Hugh MBE told 4BR: "Roy retired from the band in 2014, but remained a great supporter and friend to all. The band is looking for any players who knew Roy and would be willing to play at the service."

Funeral:

The funeral will take place on Friday 7th February at 10.30am at St Helens Church, 112 Alexandra Road, Great Crosby (L23 7TQ).
