New COVID-19 Coronavirus update from Brass Bands England

BBE advises member bands and wider brass band community to cancel rehearsals, concerts, contests, committee meetings, other group activity and individual lessons.

BBE has issued its latest advice to its member bands

Brass Bands England has made new COVD-19 Coronavirus recommendations to its member bands following the Government's latest pandemic announcements made on Monday 16th March.

The statement reads:

"The Government has tonight updated its guidance to avoid all non-essential contact. Brass bands are non-essential.

BBE now recommends to our members and the wider brass band community that all brass band activity is stopped for the foreseeable future. This includes rehearsals, concerts, contests, committee meetings, other group activity and individual lessons.

We will be running extended opening hours at evenings and weekends to support bands at this time."
