New signings and new friends for Tredegar on BiC weekend

Four new players joins the ranks of the Welsh band as they head to Gateshead and Westoe to showcase their entertainment.

  The new signings are ready to line-up for the Brass in Concert weekend

Tredegar Band will head for a busy weekend of music making at the Brass in Concert Championship with four new players in the ranks.

Signings

The band recently welcomed Charlotte Hann, Grace Thomas on cornet and Evan Kay and Amy Hext on horn as they head to The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead on Saturday 16th November, followed by an afternoon concert on Sunday 17th with their friends at Westoe Band.

Warm welcome

MD, Ian Porthouse told 4BR: "It's been wonderful to welcome these new players and for them to experience the warm welcome and appreciation shown by knowledgeable brass band audiences in the North of England."

He added: "We always enjoy coming to Brass in Concert as it provides a perfect opportunity to showcase our unique brand of entertainment, but also to meet up with our friends at Westoe to provide a great massed bands concert to warm everyone up on a Sunday afternoon."
