An ensemble from the Hammonds Band has enjoyed playing their part in the launch of BBC Radio 2 feature on brass to coincide with the official launch of Bradford as the UKs 'City of Culture'.
They were interviewed and featured playing on the Jeremy Vine Show, promoting the 'Big Brass Blowout in Bradford', playing The Beatles hit 'All You Need Is Love' specially arranged for the occasion.
The programme also featured a collaboration with the Bantam of the Opera choir as the band were also joined by presenters Zoe Ball and Chris Kamara.
Huge coverage
A spokesperson for the band told 4BR: "There's been a huge amount of coverage over the weekend and Hammonds are proud to have been part of it.
It was a fun feature too with Jeremy Vine trying to understand more about the instruments we play and how brass bands make such a positive musical and cultural impact."
Enjoy
The show is available for a limited time on BBC sounds:
