The latest Band Supplies — 4barsrest.com World Rankings see substantial changes throughout after a busy start to the 2025 contest season. National events in France, Norway, North America and Australia have all impacted across the board, with Hauts de France, Manger Musikklag, Fountain City and Sydney City Brass all having good reason to celebrate.
The regional qualifiers for the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain also created plenty of movers and shakers, plus great opportunities for scoring even more points later in the year.
The other contests held since the last update were:
Welsh Open — won by Ebbw Valley Brass;
NEMBBA Contest — won by Marsden Silver;
Oxfordshire and District BBA — won by Verwood Concert Brass;
BBL Brass in Concert — won by 1st Old Boys Silver;
Dublin Festival of Brass — won by Five Lakes Silver Band;
ConsTest Birmingham Open — won by Parc and Dare.
The next few weeks will see the fun and games continue at Stavanger and Blackpool, among other venues, with the top four in the world in action at the European Brass Band Championships and all potentially topping the table if they can secure victory!
