The Leicestershire Brass Band Association (LBBA) has confirmed that their respected secretary Adam Whittle has stepped down from the role to focus on his business and other related commitments. His final contest will be the popular LBBA Contest in November.
Constraints
Speaking about the decision, he stated: "Time constraints have made it increasingly difficult for me to give the time and commitment necessary for this important role.
It's been a privilege to serve as Secretary over the past five years and Trophy Officer for a further decade."
Vital member
In response, Steve Plant, LBBA Chairperson added: "Adam has been a vital member of the LBBA team, and his administrative prowess and attention to detail are an example to us all. We thank him for his skills, time and friendships.
We are all sad to see him go but fully support his decision to relinquish the role to concentrate on the business-related commitments. Everyone wishes him and Gemma well for the future."
4BR was informed that confirmation of a new secretary will be made shortly.
