Ireland award new caps

Three new players have been awarded their caps at Ireland Colliery (Chesterfield).

Ireland Colliery Chesterfield has welcomed three new players to the band just before the band took part in the Wychavon and Bolsover Entertainment contests last weekend.

New faces

Chris Knapp joined on solo euphonium from Ilkeston where he played for many years. Joining Chris was Simon Whyatt on Eb Bass and Jeremy Newman on percussion, both players coming from Ashover Band who do not contest.

Ian Knapton told 4BR: "Ireland would like to welcome all three players and hope they enjoy their time with the band."
