Cologne Concert Brass, a British-style brass band and winner of the 1st German Brass Band Championships this year, are proving to be a band with a rosy future.

World players

Not only are they now promoting their own brass band concerts, but they are welcoming new players from all over the world to come and play with the band.

Welcome

They recently welcomed, Emanuelli de Freitas (Brazil), Yao Chen (China), Linnéa Johansson (Sweden), Celine Schwarz (France/Germany), as well as Timo Becker and Tobias Fehse (Germany), all with a musical and academic backgrounds.

Englishman abroad

Other newcomers include: Jannes Drost-Tenfelde from Soli Brass (Netherlands), Kuihiko Wakatsuki from Tokyo Concert Brass (Japan) until January and Silvio Flori from Imperial Lenzburg (Switzerland).

Also back is Englishman abroad Greg Hollis, who returns on solo horn.

Tintwistle Band

June 9 • Tintwistle Band are looking for a 2nd horn player to help complete the team. . We rehearse Monday and Thursday 8-10pm under the baton of our MD Jim Henson, at our own bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle, and perform a variety of concerts all year round.
