MK Brass to remember Jo Causer

MK Brass are set to remember talented former player.

MK Brass are to stage a concert in Milton Keynes later this month in memory of Jo Causer, a past member of the band.

A little over twelve months ago Jo, a young and hugely talented member of the band, tragically passed away after a short illness at the age of only 26.

Gifted

As well as being a gifted musician, Jo was a dedicated sportswoman who competed regularly in marathon and triathlon events, often raising a good deal of money for her adopted charity, the Alzheimer's Society. All of the proceeds from the concert will be donated by the band to this worthy cause.

Deep loss

Dave Scott, chairman of MK Brass and principal euphonium player told 4BR: "MK Brass is more than a band, it is a close knit community of friends and we all felt Jo's loss very deeply."

Reflecting

Dave added: "We see this concert as a way of celebrating Jo's memory and continuing her charitable work whilst providing an enjoyable and entertaining musical event for the people of Milton Keynes. Jo's own musical activities were diverse and we will be reflecting this in the pieces we have chosen to play.

There'll be something for everyone and we are really looking forward the performance. It promises to be a great night!!"

Detailes of the concert are on the 4BR Classified Area.
