Vinall long player at Tilbury

Tim Vinall is the new principal cornet at the Tilbury Band.

The Tilbury Band has announced the appointment of Tim Vinall as their new Principal Cornet.

Welsh born

Born and educated in Wales, Tim moved to Kent in 1989, and is currently Head of Music at Herne Bay High School.

His brass-banding began with the Mellingriffith Band. He is a former member of the National Youth Orchestra and National Youth Brass Band of Wales. For the past decade or so, Tim has been a member of the Betteshanger Colliery Band.

Looking forward

Andrea Lewis told 4BR: "Tim has played in and directed a wide range of musical ensembles over the years and is really looking forward to playing with the Tilbury Band."
