Mark Phillips is the new man at the helm at Wellington (Telford) Band.

Wellington Telford

The Wellington (Telford) Band from Shropshire has announced the appointment of Mark Phillips as their new Musical Director.

Mark takes over the baton from Steve Curtis who will remain as Professional Conductor.

Thanks

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We would like to thank Steve for the great job he has done with us. We are sorry that his relocation has meant that he is unable to continue as MD, but we are delighted that Mark has accepted the position and we look forward to him leading us to more success in the future."

Mark has been the bands solo horn for the last three years but has many years of conducting experience, most recently a six year spell with the Newhall Band.
