Classic FM are currently running their annual vote on their choice of 300 pieces that can be voted on to get a regular slot on their programmes during 2010.

As has become the norm, brass band music is under represented, but there is a chance to vote for a classic piece from Malcolm Arnold — and his wonderfully witty 'Padstow Lifeboat' march.

The voting is open until the 31st January, and if it gets enough votes it may well lead the station to play more brass band music in the coming year.
