Last call for Dobson's snip

Composer Simon Dobson will have the snip this Monday. So why not help him get over the pain with some charitable help.

Dobson

Composer Simon Dobson is currently enjoying a last few hours with his most prized possession before he loses it to the dreaded snip.

The snip

This Monday, 22nd of February, he will be losing his famous dreadlocks in aid of the charity OCD-UK.

OCD-UK is the UK's leading charity working for and with, people suffering from Obssessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Wonderful charity

Simon has a family member with the illness and told 4BR: "As someone who has a diagnosed OCD sufferer in my family I have seen how debilitating the desease can be, and just how misunderstood this and many other mental illnesses are. Losing my dreadlocks for this wonderful charity is well worth the pain!"

As you can imagine to cut them off is going to be a pretty big change for me and I don't mind saying that I'm pretty nervous about the whole thingSimon Dobson

Two foot long

Simon told 4BR: "I have been growing my dreadlocks for 8 years now, and they are nearly two feet long in length. As you can imagine to cut them off is going to be a pretty big change for me and I don't mind saying that I'm pretty nervous about the whole thing."

Simon will document the evening with photos and videos, so that those who have helped will be able to enjoy the moment of his Samsonesque demise!
