Meanwhile there are plenty of new CDs to be found, wit the latest releases from the International Staff Band of the Salvation Army as well as the brilliant entertainers of Fountain City Brass from the USA, who wowed the audiences in Gateshead and Perth last year.

Then there are the highlights of all the great drama that unfolded at the Norwegian Brass Band Championships in Begren earlier this year, where Manger Musikklag beat Eikanger Bjorsvik by the narrowest of margins to take the title.
