Wychavon draws announced

The draws have been announced for the popular Wychavon Festival of Brass which takes place next month.

Draw

The organisers have announced the draws for the forthcoming Wychavon Festival of Brass, which will be held at De Montford High School in Evesham on Saturday 31st October.

31 bands

31 bands will take part in the Championship, First, Second and Fourth Sections — although there will be no Third Section this year following a disappointing shortage of entrants.

As always there is will be an excellent atmosphere to enjoy at a school with high class facilities, whilst there is also the added bonus of the highest placed band in the top section not already at the British Open Spring Festival, gaining an automatic invite to the Senior Trophy in Blackpool next May.

Strong top section

As a result there is a field of 15 bands for adjudicator Alan Morrison to enjoy in the Championship Section, with strong entries also on show in the other events.

The action starts at mid day in the Main Hall for the Championship Section and at 12.30 in the Sports Hall for the First Section. The Fourth Section will kick off at 11.00am in the Small Hall.
