Wansbeck contest moved to new date

Re-building works sees the popular Wansbeck Entertainment contest moved to a new date.

4BR has been informed that due to major rebuilding work, the popular Wansbeck Entertainments Contest has been moved to a new date on the 24th April 2016.

New date

Originally due to have taken place this Autumn at Newbiggin by Sea, no other venue could be sought, so the decision was made to move the contest to a new date.

Northumberland Spokesperson Teresa Campbell told 4BR: "The autumn slot is becoming congested and we thought that moving the date to early spring after the Area contest and not towards Christmas was the best option."

Entry forms will be sent out in the coming week's bands.
