Manger Musikklag move closer to the top 10 following their recent success at the SIDDIS entertainment contest in Stavanger.

There are few changes near the very top of the 4barsrest.com World Rankings following the recent round of contests worldwide, but plenty of movement from those vying for places in the top ten and below.

Cory still sits proudly at the top and is certain to remain there at least until next year's European Championships. Manger Musikklag's victory at Siddis Brass not only moves it up five places, but also raises Viking hopes for a second successive victory at Brass in Concert.

The other contests held since the last update were:

Northern Ireland Championships — won by Downshire Brass;
Dutch National Championships — won by Provincial Brass Band Groningen;
Danish National Championships — won by Corcorde; West Wales BBA — won by Llwydcoed;
New South Wales BBA — won by Warringah Concert Brass;
Oxfordshire BBA — won by Michelmersh Silver;
NWABBA Rochdale Contest — won by Oldham (Lees);
Wychavon Festival — won by Filton Concert Brass.
