The West Midlands Brass Band Association is hoping to attract yet more players to help recall the great sounds of Harry Mortimer's Men O' Brass.

The event hopes to once again recreate the Harry Mortimer way of massed band music making

The West Midlands Brass Band Association will be organising their third 'Big Brass' Brass Band event next month,

Inspired by Harry Mortimer's famous 'Men O' Brass' it has successfully recreated the ethos the iconic gathering of brass band players, with this year's event taking place at Cradley Heath Salvation Army Hall (Meredith Street, Cradley Heath. B64 5EP) on Saturday March 30th.

Sound and feel

Speaking to 4BR, organiser David Birch said: "As in previous years we are looking to recreate the sound and feel of the days of Harry Mortimer's Men O' Brass.

Last year the band comprised 69 players from 21 different bands and we hope to surpass that under MD Dave Lea this time around."
