The latest release from BrookWright Music is a rousing fanfare prelude for brass band with optional organ part.

Written by composer Kenneth Downie 'Fanfare Prelude — Now thank we all our God' is based on the monumental German hymn which dates from the 17th century.

The arrangement is aimed at being an ideal opener or prelude for concerts or church services.

It is featured on the CD 'Classic Hymns for Orchestra — The Symphonic Music of Kenneth Downie' as a symphonic brass setting.

Kenneth Downies describes the work in his foreword as: "'The depth of the words is underpinned by the grandeur of the music, so I have tried to reflect the same regal approach in my setting for brass band."
