The 350th edition of Brass Band World magazine has just been published, marking a significant milestone for the publication which made its debut appearance in February 1991.

Just as then it once again offers news, views, reviews, opinions and analysis on the global banding world, with the 350th issue featuring profiles of flugel player and conductor Stephanie Kennedy and tenor horn star Tim de Maeseneer, as well as a retrospective view of the recent British Open Championship in Birmingham and Black Dyke's appearance at the BBC Proms.

Articles and reviews

There are articles on the relevance of draw positions at major contests, and the legendary St Hilda's Colliery Band, as well as pro-platform features with Tom Nielsen and a castaway selection from orchestral conductor and NYBBGB President, Martyn Brabbins.

In addition, there are reviews of recent CD releases and of the concerts of the National Youth Bands of Great Britain, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as preview analysis of Philip Sparke's 'A Road Less Travelled By' which will be the test-piece at the Royal Albert Hall.

In in a touching link to the first edition there is tribute paid by Dr Robert Childs to the great euphonium star Lyndon Baglin who recently passed away, and whose image adorned the very first BBW issue.
