New release supports Clarence Adoo Trust

A new CD release from Fairey Band and tenor horn star Owen Farr is set to support the Clarence Adoo Trust.

Clarence Addoo

Quintessence — the latest recording released in aid of the Clarence Adoo Trust is now available to buy.

Featuring the music of Robert Redhead, the Fairey Band and guest soloist Owen Farr, it is conducted by John Ward and the composer himself.

Funds

It's the latest recording in aid of the Clarence Adoo Trust, which raises much needed funds for the ongoing care of the renowned trumpet player, and sees the 2016 North West champion performing eight works from the composer's extensive output.

The recording is built around three of his major compositions; 'Isaiah 40', the popular 1996 National Championship set-work, 'Corpus Christi' and the title track, 'Quintessence'.

New work

Meanwhile, Owen Farr can be heard on a brand new work entitled, 'Tenore: Theme and Variations' specially written for him by Robert Redhead for the recording

The composer was present throughout the recording weekend and gave his full seal of approval.
