Liz Lane

Composer Liz Lane has told 4BR of her delight at being invited to join the independent Composer's Edition stable of music publishers, which has gained a worldwide reputation for promoting innovative and engaging contemporary repertoire.

Silver Rose

10 of Liz's works, including vocal, choral, piano, chamber, and ensemble compositions will be published including her acclaimed 'Silver Rose', which was recently performed under the baton of Ian Holmes in a new arrangement at Bristol Cathedral, featuring the South-West Open Youth Orchestra, the UK's only disabled-led regional youth orchestra, the Lydbrook Band, the University of the West of England Singers and organist Alison Howell.

The performances were wonderful, uplifting occasions, and I'm delighted that the works will now be available for other bands to perform in various settingsLiz Lane

New work

Also included is one of her latest works, 'Antiphonary for Brass Band' which was given a premiere in concert celebrating the restoration of a rare Father Willis organ at St Mary and St Giles Church, Stony Stratford.

Liz told 4BR: "The performances were wonderful, uplifting occasions, and I'm delighted that the works will now be available for other bands to perform in various settings."
